Description

i have had this image in my mind for a while, finally decided to draw it ^.^

while i was drawing i came up with a story for it:

Once, long ago lived a mere mortal man who had fallen in love with the Sun God\'s Daughter, the godess of light, and she fell in love with him too. The sun God forbid this partnership as he wanted his daughter to be wed to the moon God as a sign of goodwill to the ruler of the night realm. He let the mortal off with a warning, saying he must never see the light goddess again. The two lovers disobeyed one night and with the help of their friend the Ocean God, took a boat and sailed to the middle of the sea, sure they were safe. The moon God found them and angered at the loss of his bride, told the Sun God. The Sun God came in a fury. He turned the mortal man into a huge sea serpent and forbid him to ever leave the darkest depths of the ocean where no light shone, so that his daughter may never see him. The Ocean God was angered that the Sun God would dare trespass into his realm, so he helped the Light Godess to find her lover in the depths. It was many years before she finally found him and when she did, she was shocked. He was a huge beast, and could easily swallow her, however she knew he was her love, and so rejoiced in his company. She left the heavens and abondoned the moon and sun Gods to live in a different realm of light, and with help from the Ocean God, every day visits the serpent in the depths, and brings an orb of light, so that he may see light again.

I know the story is corny but meh :3
